For this painting, I wanted the time of day, early evening/ sunset, to be the main focus. What I love most about this time of day is the soft colours in the sky, therefore I wanted to highlight this in the painting. To further enhance these colours, I incorporated them into the trees, lake and even the ground, with some green to contrast.

The composition of this piece followed the same as an acrylic painting I did for a client. I did this because I really liked the composition and design of that piece, but I wanted to experiment with different colours and time of day.
