Galaxy Ceiling

About

For 2 weekends I painted 2 murals in Musgrove Park Hospital representing the 'Amelia Mae Foundation' Charity. This mural was painted on the ceiling of the children's cancer treatment room. So when the children are undergoing their cancer treatment, they can lay back and look at the stars and get lost in the colours and movements of the painting. We thought very carefully about the design because we didn't want it to be too overwhelming for the patients. So instead of painting numerous planets and details, we decided to focus more on colour. We chose colours that are naturally calming so it will be beneficial for the children when they are having their treatment. To enhance these colours, we included some glow in the dark paint, adding more interest to the mural.
